International importance:
The look is included in the Red List of Russia.

Description:
Length of a bug is 16-19 mm. The top is bronze, sometimes with green gloss. The wing sheaths flattened. Short moustaches are short, at males come for the basis of wing sheaths only a little. On the basis of wing sheaths between sutural Kiel and the first row of hillocks there is a short rudiment of Kiel.

Rasprostraniyeniye:
Central European gigrofilny look. In the territory of Belarus meets everywhere, but it is dated for bogs.

Habitats:
It is dated for the rehumidified habitats (low-lying bogs, damp inundated meadows, the boggy woods). Peat bogs, decreases, boggy coast of the rivers and lakes.

Biology:
Meets from May to October. Predator polyphague. Eats invertebrates. Bugs are active at night.

Number and tendency of its change:
In certain places, especially in reserves, number quite high. Decreases in the reclaimed territories.

Major factors of threat:
Reduction of the areas of bogs as a result of melioration.

Protection measures:
The look is included in the 2nd edition of the Red List of Republic of Belarus (the II category). In the Berezinsky biospheric reserve is under protection of the reserved mode. It is necessary to control behind a condition of populations.
