Certificates on a Holocaust in reports of army, acts of executions, testimonies of the German prisoners of war.

Annually on January 27 the International Holocaust Remembrance Day approved by the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly of November 1, 2005 is celebrated. This year mournful day is devoted to the subject "Children and Holocaust". The UN and the international community will honor memory of one and a half million Jewish children who died during World War II, and also children of other people which became the victims of nazis and their helpers. The program of educational activity of the UN "Holocaust" prepared the manual for pupils at the age of 13 years and is more senior which will become the annex to the new animated documentary "Last Flight of Pyotr Ginz" - about life and creativity of the Jewish boy from Prague who died at 16-year age in camp Terezin.

Thanks to the Brest regional center "Holokost", in my hands there was a collection in which the documents which are stored in the Central archive of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation are reproduced. The Holocaust in the territory of the Brest region is confirmed by the political reports of armies going to political departments of fronts or to the Head political department of Red army. Also the statements of executions of Jews attached to them which are drawn up by fighters of Red army with the assistance of locals right after release of settlements, the testimony of the German prisoners of war, excerpt from the "Bulletins about atrocities of the German invaders" published in armies etc. are used here.

Unlike widely famous acts of the Extraordinary state commission, these documents on crimes of nazis appeared right after fight and became the first on time and often the only thing or the fullest source. The main historical value of such certificates - a Holocaust eyes of ordinary fighters with fascism.

This statement was drawn up on July 8, 1944 in Znochi's village of Baranovichsky district of the Baranovichsky region and addressed to the chief of political board of the 1st Belarusian front major general Galadzhev. In it it was told: "At occupation of the area in summer of 1941 the police of "SD" drove to the area to the south of Baranovichi 3 thousand locals of Jews from which most part of the woman and children, and imprisoned them in a concentration camp of the village of Kodlichevo. During small time all of them were shot. Corpses dumped in ditches which a long time were open and only then are covered with earth". Signed this act of the resident of the village Znochi Elena Ivanovna of Krasta and Sofya Semenovna Gromadskaya, and from military unit - guard the major Gonarov, the captain Yarovoy and the senior lieutenant Yanovsky.

And here very eloquent excerpt from testimonies of the German corporal, the sapper Otto Tyshler captured in the summer of 1944: "on June 21, 1941 we were given to armored group at Brest-Litovska. The colonel general Guderian issued the order where it was said that unjustified humanity in relation to communists and Jews is inappropriate. They should be shot ruthlessly. On arrival to Brest-Litovsk we witnessed how in the military hostel soldiers and officers of field gendarmerie in, a drunk look bragged that shot several thousands of captured commissioners and Jews".

In January, 1943 troops of Red army crushed the 15th police regiment. Among the taken documents reports and the magazine of military operations of its third battalion are found. They demonstrate that during the summer of 1941 near Brest, Pinsk, Kobrin and Berezy-Kartuzsky only soldiers of this division shot more than 15 thousand Jews of whom most part was made by old men, women and children. And of the July 28, 1944 which is drawn up by representatives of military unit and residents of the Luninetsky district of the Pinsky region follows from the statement that in June, 1941 in this area killed all Jewish population. It is more than 5,5 thousand people, from them 3 thousand were children.

In documents there are a lot of certificates from which blood runs cold, for example, that quite often Jewish children were dumped in ditches live and together with corpses covered with earth.
