Report of the commander of the 10th company

The report of the commander of the 10th company on mass destruction of the Jewish population in the city of Pinsk on October 29 - on November 7, 1942.

Not earlier than November 2, 1942. After the order on immediate march was repealed, the company received on October 27, 1942 the order: to arrive on October 28, 1942 at 21:00 to Kobrin. According to the order the company came by cars to Kobrin and from there was sent by march to Pinsk. To the western exit of Pinsk the company was on October 29, 1942 at 4:00.

On Kursk which took place on October 28, 1942 in Pinsk at the regimental commander of the colonel meeting it was decided that 2 battalions, namely: the 2nd battalion of the 15th police regiment and the 2nd cavalry division will undertake an external cordon while the 10th company of the 15th police regiment and the 11th company of the 11th police regiment without 2 platoons are appointed for combing of a ghetto. the 11th company of the 11th police regiment without one platoon which was exempted in the evening from combing was appointed to protection at assembly point, protection of transport to the place of execution which was approximately in 4 km beyond Pinsk, and on a cordon of the place of execution. For the last task horsemen were partially used further. This action was repaid brilliantly as in attempt of 150 Jews to flight all were again caught though the part them managed to leave on several kilometers.

By order of a cordon it was appointed to 4 hours 30 min. Thanks to the previous personal investigation of heads and observance of secret, the cordon was made in the shortest possible time, and escapes of Jews were impossible. Combing of a ghetto should by order of have been begun at 6:00. But because of darkness the beginning was removed for half an hour.

The Jews who paid attention to the events began to gather mostly voluntarily for check on all streets. By means of 2 vakhmistr it was succeeded to bring in the first hour several thousands to the place of collecting. When other Jews saw what business tends to, they adjoined a column so the spot check of collecting provided by SD thanks to an enormous and unexpected congestion of the people did not manage to be carried out (in the first day of combing counted only on 1-2 thousand people). The first combing ended at 17:00 and took place without incident. In the first day about 10 thousand persons were executed.

At night the company was in combat readiness in soldier's club. On October 30, 1942 the ghetto was combed for the second time, on October 31 - for the third time and on November 1 - for the fourth time. Generally to the place of collecting about 15 thousand Jews were driven. Sick Jews and children left in houses were exposed to execution right there in a ghetto in the yard. In a ghetto about 1 200 Jews were executed. Incidents, except for one, were not. On the basis of the fact that to Jews who will specify where they hid gold, promised life one Jew who reported that he hid the mass of gold was. One vakhmistr went with it. But as the Jew hesitated all the time and asked a vakhmistr to rise with it by an attic, vakhmistr returned back it to a ghetto to the place of collecting. Here the Jew refused as all other Jews to sit down on the earth. Suddenly he rushed on one rider of a squadron, snatched out at that a rifle and a stick and began to beat the rider. Only thanks to intervention of soldiers of a company it is attack broke. As the firearms was forbidden to use, in the started fight of the Jew so knocked the axe on the head that it fell to the ground and remained to lie. He was right there executed. On November 1 from 17:00 the company was appointed in an external cordon, and the second horse group was sent to the parking lot. Special incidents were not.

On November 2, 1942 at 8:00 companies it was released from Pinsk and went march to the place of the parking. Roth was reached at 13:00 by Kobrina, by 17:00 she reached the strong points again.
