Reputable "Respubl_ka"! I want to share impressions with readers of the read book "Memory" devoted to Kobrin district.

I was born in 1931 in the village of Tevli of Kobrin district and lived before conscription there in 1951. In three weeks after occupation of our district by Hitlerite army the village was surrounded by Germans. Inhabitants were driven on a meadow between the village and Tevli's station. Men were separated from women. According to the list called more than twenty people. Mikhail Efimchuk who did not climb from the earth a call was shot right there. The others were taken away soon in Kobrin and shot there.

The first blood in our area was so shed. For all years about this terrible causeless episode I did not see anywhere lines, did not hear words. It is sad that even in the book "Memory" which appeared at the end of 2002 is not called any surname of my fellow countrymen who are innocently executed by fascist invaders. The commission collecting material on stories of Kobrin district, this fact roughly speaking, missed.

And in the center of the village, near church, there are two monuments: one - to the soldiers who died at release, another - the inhabitants ruined by invaders. These monuments are located in 300-350 meters from the Village Council building. On a monument to the died inhabitants there are all surnames. After war in our area Yushchik's gang wandered. Only in 1947, in the winter, this gang managed to be surrounded on one of farms.

The Kobrin militia with this action was helped by volunteers from our village whom we called "istrebkam". Bandits managed to kill one militiaman and an istrebk I Prick Verusha. This surname is not in the book "Memory" too. On Tevli's staniye there lives Nina Prokofyevna Kolyada. (Its phone 5-72-63). This is the daughter of the shot Prokofiya Efimchuk and the niece of Mikhail Efimchuk killed on June 17, 1941 at all in the eyes. For all these years none of officials looked on Nina Prokofyevna, were interested in tragic death of her family. Now quite often it is possible to hear the stories distorting events of times of war. Say, Germans were good people, and here guerrillas killed many, more, than Germans.

History about which I told visually opens reality. The speech specifically goes not about the German nation in general, and about those bandits in an army form to whom everything was permitted and which used it that is called to the full extent... There were no guerrillas yet and seldom who knew this word, and they already mowed with a killing braid, arose upon a revenge. The word "guerrilla" - not ours. And here its essence to all of us fitted on heart. And everything that is connected with guerrilla fight, should not be buried in oblivion. After acquaintance with the book "Memory" I went to the assistant to the deputy Kuchinsky. It sent me to edition of "rayonka", but there I was "readdressed" in district executive committee. And all make a helpless gesture: say what it is possible to make now - the book is published. And maybe, it is possible to print and dispatch at least a leaf insert it in bookstores where this book is on sale?

The question arises: what, in the Village Council there are no lists of the victims at hand?. Well there is no list, so descend to a monument, rewrite surnames and report to the editorial commission. Eh, people, people on what we only do not stumble...
