Call of youth of a new century

The Israeli poet Yaroslav Sayfert addressed these words to all six million to the prisoners of a ghetto and concentration camps tortured or shot in the years of World War II. All and to everyone. Verses were born on the Jewish cemetery in the Czech Republic: "Darkness only yes wind come to sit at death's door. The grass, bitter weeds blossom here in May...".

But memory human opposes to oblivion. In May - as if having something in common with a sad poetic line - arrived young to Kobrin. Pupils of the thirteenth and twentieth Brest high schools located in the territory of a local ghetto and activists of youth club of the Jewish agency "Dry" are a patron of a monument to the dead in the hometown, seriously study a Holocaust subject. The term from the Hellenic family tree literally means: "immolating by burning completely". And the youth - - is convinced the 21st century that there is no genocide against "someone". Genocide always against all mankind.

... The city where they arrived, is chosen as one of points of a route in the wake of fascism crimes not incidentally. Kobrin - the special page in the mad book of the death written by nazis not a feather, but routes of bullets and spolokha of fire. In the spring of the forty second 1800 inhabitants of a local ghetto of "B" where there lived prisoners without specialty, drove to the station. They were brought to Bronnaya Gore's station and shot. The ghetto "And" existed till fall. And then SS-men killed four thousand prisoners on the southern suburb of Kobrin. Responsible did not manage to hide these crimes: witnesses told about them on the Nuremberg process. However, about other crime it was not told then.

... Among thousands tortured, which became in the annals of history the disturbing column of statistics, ten death stand independently. In days of Kobrin retaliatory expedition when fateful were driven on streets, from a column several children escaped. By miracle they passed an environment chain, dived into an aperture of a stone fence and disappeared.

The park at a church was the place of rescue. Here at night priests also found children: seven scared kids held floors of an old coat of the boy of years of eight. Ten people - two owners and eight Jewish children began to live in a lodge for priests now. Jan Volsky and Vladislav Grobelny were given by the traitor. Chasteners shot children and Catholic priests who sheltered them at temple walls...

The trip of youth was helped to be made to the kobrinchena - the local historian Stanislav Chernitsky, the teacher of history of high school No. 5 Galina Lozovskaya, activists of the Jewish community Mira and Gennady Votyakovy, the Brest teacher-historian Natalya Baydakova. Enthusiasts visited an old pre-war cemetery, the former synagogue, laid flowers on a grave of prisoners of a ghetto. Also inclined the heads before a memorial board with names of the priests covering, risking life, the Jewish children. Pilgrimage which passed under the auspices of the regional scientific and educational center "Holokost", - an appeal of youth of a new century to humanity. Call to mutual proximity of people.
