Kobrin district in the years of war

The bell from church in of Tevli was removed by Germans on April 6, 1943. Came by the car, one soldier together with soltysy (head) left for the priest, and remained near the temple a little. The father was brought soon and forced to open a door of church, then Hitlerites got on a belltower and began to remove a bell. Pottered long, as a result the multipood bell ringer fell down and broke. Parts of a bell shipped on the car and took away in the western direction. The local girl Nadia saw all this with own eyes, and presently Nadezhda Aleksandrovna Mekh told fellows villager about events which she was a witness. More than 60 years the Tevelsky church was left without the belfry, and only this year for the funds raised by the whole world, on the temple Bozhy set up a bell again. On May 9 it announced all: "Rejoice, people! Victory Day!"

The Victory Day in the 45th came to people to Easter, in day of an Easter Sunday. The archpriest Vladimir Kornelyuk reminded participants of solemn meeting of it in of Tevli decent the Kobrin blagochinnichesky district and urged the audience to honor always a feat of the dead in the Great Patriotic War because as it is told in the Gospel, "there is no that love more as if who puts the soul for the friends".

Celebration of the Victory Day in of Tevli took place at the monument to the died soldiers updated by a holiday. Standing at a mass grave, pupils of local school called by name all locals shot by fascists for years of occupation. Words of deep appreciation to the senior generation for its unprecedented feat were heard in speeches of the chairman of regional council of deputies M. M. Kovalevich and the Tevelsky selyispolkom of I. V. Kuznetsova.

The head of the district administration K. V. Sinevich and the military commissioner of the Kobrin district military registration and enlistment office of V. V. Lashch handed to current veterans, residents of villages of the Tevelsky Village Council, the anniversary medals "60 years of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945g.g." for care and attention to participants of war the regional authorities the veteran Grigory Alekseevich Shugay from the heart thanked.

Wars congratulated on May 9 participants hoary with age not only their children and grandsons, but also great-grandsons are school students and children from kindergarten of of Tevli. The funeral ceremony of wreath-laying and flowers to forever to the soldier who stiffened in a stone inclined the head before a feat and memory of fallen was solemn and mournful. The sad melody abated - and the metronome began to sound, counting seconds of a moment of silence. And after a minute of grief over the village bell-ringing spread, announcing to people: "Victory! Day of the Great Victory!"
