The guerrilla press of 1941 - 1944 years on the Brest region was that organizing and mobilizing force which helped party, Komsomol and anti-fascist committees to forge a victory over fascist aggressors.

On the Brest region in the years of war in an underground 20 newspapers were issued. Among them - the Zarya newspaper (body of the Brest underground regional committee of KP(6)B and staff of guerrilla connection), "For the Homeland" (body of the Brest regional anti-fascist committee), "the Guerrilla of Polesia" (The Ivanovo area), "Chyrvonaya Zorka" (Drogichinsky district), "Flame" (Berezovsky the area), "The Polesia truth" (body of Pinsky underground regional committee of KP(b)B and staff of guerrilla connection) and some other.

In an underground "Dawn" began to leave in April, 1943 in Sporovsky bogs, in the territory of Berezovsky of the area. It was only the eighth part of a pre-war format. Nevertheless, the newspaper constantly printed materials about military operations of guerrillas, about life and fight of locals.

For example, in April, 1943 "Dawn" reported that six guerrillas from Ivan P. (Postovalov's) group, "... having organized an ambush on abrupt turn of the highway, having used delay of speed of cars, destroyed three cars, at the same time killed the Hitlerite general and to 20 soldiers".

In May, 1943 "Dawn" wrote about diversions of underground workers of Kobrin at railway station of the city, and on August 15 the same year reported that the group of guerrillas of group of Shchors by means of Kobrin underground workers blew up oil depot in this city. As a result 42 tons of gasoline, 53 tons of kerosene, 20 tons of an avtol and solid oil burned down.

In other notes it was talked about the guerrilla demolition men of crew "Soviet Belarus" who derailed 15 military echelons with manpower and equipment of the opponent; that crew under command of comrade. And. (Arzumanyan Sumbat Hachaturovich) destroyed two German garrisons in which there were 600 soldiers and officers. At the same time it is taken prisoner of 108 Germans and big trophies.

In number for May 1, 1944 it was reported that patriots of Brest made explosion in an office of the chief of the Brest prison, as a result of it two were killed and three German officers are wounded.

Similar examples the set was published. In each number of "Dawn" reports of Sovinformburo were located, it was reported about all major events in our country and abroad, orders of the Supreme Commander.
