In the territory of the area guerrilla crews worked: the 150th name F. M. Yazykovich (69), "For the Homeland" of A. K. Flegontov (94), of Ya. M. Sverdlov (141), of I. V. Stalin (143), of V. I. Chapayev (151) and "the Soviet Belarus" (183), guerrilla groups of S. M. Budenny (299), of K. E. Voroshilov (302), of S. M. Kirov (311), a name. I. Kotovsky (315) both "Falcons" (364) and guerrilla task force "Spark" (377).

It is released by troops of the 1st Belarusian front during the operation "Bagration" performed at the second stage Lublin-Brest (on July 18 - on August 2, 1944) offensive operation.

Military operations conducted parts of the 28, 61 and 70 army, and also the 9th tank case. The city of Kobrin was freed on July 20, 1944 by parts of the 12th Guards and the 212th shooting divisions of the 9th Guards shooting case of the 61st army.

Direct help to land troops in fights for the city was given part of forces by the 271st night bombing division of the 16th air army. To the troops participating in release of the city of Kobrin, to Supreme Commanders it is thanked officially. The caused most a stir from them: to the 29th, 37th Guards, 369, 669 and 692 shooting regiments, to the 31st Guards, to the 60th Guards case, to the 533rd army destructive anti-tank and to the 655th to artillery regiments, the 1282nd antiaircraft artillery regiment and the 222nd and 229th engineer battalions - the order of July 25, 1944 appropriated the honourable names "Kobrinskiye". the 12th Guards Pinskaya and the 212th Krichevskaya shooting divisions were awarded by awards of the Red Banner.

The city settlement of Divin is freed on July 21 by parts of the 160th shooting division of the 70th army.

... The deputy commander of a squadron of the 149th destructive aviation regiment of the 323rd destructive aviation division of the 16th air army senior lieutenant A. I. Morozov for years of the Great Patriotic War made 271 fighting departures, participated in 33 air fights, shot down personally 13 planes of the opponent and 9 in group fights, destroyed 4 planes in airfields, 3 railway cars with ammunition and 14 cars with freights. On July 24, 1944 died during investigation of the opponent near the city of Kobrin.

The decree of Presidium of the Supreme Council of the USSR of February 23, 1945 to Arseny Ivanovich Morozov, the Russian who was born 23.01.1922 in of Slobodk of Kalininsky district of Kalinin area gave the rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union. Its ashes are buried in the city of Kobrin.

Among natives of the area there is Hero of the Soviet Union Kirmanovich Vladimir Nikolaevich (24.03.1945, Kobrin).
