Memorable places in the area: Gorodets

The mass grave of the Soviet soldiers is located in the square. 20 soldiers of the 12th Guards shooting division of the 61st army who died in July, 1944 at release of the village and area from fascist aggressors are buried. For perpetuating of memory of the soldiers and 78 fellow countrymen who died in days of the Great Patriotic War in 1958 the monument - the soldier's sculpture is established.
