As Khrushchev's son died

In 1943 when performing a fighting task together with Zamorin the pilot Leonid Khrushchev, Nikita Khrushchev's son, the member of the Politburo and the member of the Council of War of the front died. Information on it was requested from me from "Belarusfilm", last year this question was studied by the correspondent of "Komsomolskaya Pravda", having visited Kobrin. Ivan Aleksandrovich told me this sad story more than once. On March 11, 1943 around Zhizdra pilots Leonid Khrushchev and Ivan Zamorin (the second - conducted both are guards the senior lieutenants) performed in couple a fighting task behind a front line and two "fokkevulfama" were attacked. In a course of action Leonid Khrushchev died. The command frightened by the incident inclined Zamorin to make the report in which it appeared that Khrushchev's plane allegedly was not lined that the pilot had an opportunity to use a parachute and to land, i.e. survived.

After N. S. Khrushchev's death I. A. Zamorin sent the letter to the Minister of Defence D. Ustinov: "... Command of my regiment was extremely interested in taking this version for "a pure coin". It too directly shared severe responsibility for death of the pilot — the son of the member of the Politburo! I was afraid and went to the transaction with conscience, having forged the facts. I in the official report held back that when "FV-190" rushed on my car in attack, having come to me from below under the right wing, Lyonya Khrushchev to save me from death, threw the plane across to a fire volley of "fokker"... After armor-piercing blow Khrushchev's plane was literally scattered at me in the eyes! That is why on the earth it was impossible to find traces of this accident especially as ordered to look for the administration not at once - our fight happened over the territory occupied by Germans".

This penitential letter was revealed in a desktop of the minister D. Ustinov after his death. The brave pilot once again showed courage, worthy the hero.
