Ivan Zamorin was born on April 10, 1918 in the village of Kostenka, nowadays Mogilev district of the Mogilev region. Ended 7 classes of high school. Worked as the mechanic at garment factory. In 1937 graduated from the Mogilev aero club. Since 1938 in the ranks of Red Army. Graduated from the Borisoglebsk military aviation school of pilots Decorated with the Order of the Red Banner. From the beginning of the Great Patriotic War at the front. Was at war as a part of the 523rd and 168th destructive aviaregiments, the 18th Guards aviaregiment.
