Memorable places in the area: Strigovo

The obelisk in honor of a victory of 1812 settles down in the square near club. 31.7.1812 near the villages of Gorodechno and Poddubno there was a fight between the Russian troops and avstro-Saxon cases of Napoleonic army. 13.8. 1812 near Strigovo the 38th an egersky regiment of the Russian army beat off massive approach of a Napoleonic cavalry. Avstro-saksontsy suffered heavy losses and were forced to recede.

In 1962 in honor the 150 anniversary of a victory over Napoleonic troops the obelisk is established.
