Book "Hieromartyr Nikolay, Archpriest"

The tragic way of the archpriest Nikolay Piskanovsky and his family after revolution is presented in the book. In the basis the book is constructed on original letters of prisoners in camps and received by relatives "at liberty", and also on the letters sent by the family to jails. The letters relating generally to the period of 1928-1948 are provided. They are followed by comments of the originator, biographic data and other necessary explanations. In the book there are no descriptions of cruel prosecutions and mortal sufferings of innocent people. However letters, original certificates of that time, cannot leave the reader indifferent. They allow to judge vital circumstances of the Christians who kept true belief in those hard times and continuing, despite all burdens, to be guided in the behavior by Christian outlook impartially. And the reader will estimate the moral power and greatness of spirit pursued, a measure of their true sacrifice. The geography of the narration is very extensive: Brest, Elisavetgrad, Alexandria, Poltava, Kharkiv, Voronezh, Solovki, Pinega, Arkhangelsk, Komi ASSR, Perm (Molotov), Moscow, Maloyaroslavets, Orsk, Uglich, Rybinsk, Tutaev.
