About Kobrin

The street is called in honor of Zoya Anatolyevna Kosmodemyanskaya — the guerrilla, the Hero of the Soviet Union.

Zoya Anatolyevna Kosmodemyanskaya (1923 - 1941) is the activist, the Hero of the Soviet Union. Zoya in the village Osino-Guy of the Tambov region was born on September 13, 1923. In 1929 together with a family began to live in Siberia. In school days began to suffer from a nervous disease, and in 1940 ached with meningitis. Then in Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya's biography it was passed a rehabilitation course (in sanatorium she got acquainted with Arkady Gaidar), and the school is graduated later.

In October, 1941 got to diversionary school of "Sprogis". Having become the member of prospecting guerrilla part, successfully performed the first military task. The following operation which purpose was to relieve villages of the German aggressors was more difficult. The group into which Zoya entered set fire to several houses with Germans. Then, having come off group, Zoya was detained in attempt of an arson of one more house.

Then in Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya's biography there took place heavy tortures, but the girl did not tell even of the real name. Kosmodemyanskaya sustained execution is proud. Even with a rope on a neck she said the speeches glorifying the homeland.

Later Kosmodemyanskaya's biography became widely known in the USSR thanks to article in "Truth". And on February 16, 1942 to it posthumously gave the rank of the Hero of the Soviet Union.
