For the first time the International Workers' Day was celebrated in 1890 in Austro-Hungary, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Spain, Italy, the USA, Norway, France, Sweden and some other countries. Long time the May Day was a symbol of revolution, uncompromising class struggle. Today this holiday is celebrated in 142 countries and territories of the world on May 1 or on the first Monday of May.
