Memorable places in Kobrin

The memorial board in memory of revolutionary speeches of railroad workers is located on the building of the railway station. It is established in 1976. Kobrin's railroad workers took active part in revolution of 1905-07. Headed fight Kobriisky committee of the All-Russian union of railroad workers. As the prosecutor of the Grodno district court informed in Vilensky trial chamber, the committee put before itself "not only economic, but also political goals, directed the activity to overthrow of the political and social order existing in Russia". Railroad workers organized the first large strike at the beginning of November, 1905 on December 9 Kobrin railroad workers called a strike in support of the Moscow proletariat, achieved removal of the station-master and other officials and took station under the control.

Inscription on a board: "During the first Russian revolution of 1905-1907 the Kobrin County and the city were captured by powerful revolutionary movement. Agrarian performances had mass and persistent character. Within three years the county consisting on the provision of the strengthened protection. It is especially organized Kobrin railroad workers acted. In November, 1905 at station Kobrin was created Kobrin committee of the All-Russian railway union. Directing propaganda, meetings, strikes. Railroad workers of station Kobrin and workshops took active part in the December strike of 1905 and prepared for the armed performance. All members of the committee were arrested and prosecuted".
