Mikhail Andreevich put a bag with products on a table in the yard and sat down on a bench to take breath. Though the rural shop and nearby and age any more not easily to cope and with such distance - went the 87th year. The garden was filled with aroma of the blossoming trees and buzz of bees. The spring of the 45th year when here in the flowers the apple-tree under a window of hospital in Czechoslovakia also smelled sweet was remembered.

... Mihail Moroz was taken away on the front from the village by Fistulas in August, 1944. At first got to "uchebka" in Luga in artillery. In six months the regiment was thrown under Kovel. Mikhail was charging 76-millimetrovago tools on a gun crew. On February 14 gunners as a part of the 4th Ukrainian front engaged with Germans. Together with the coming parts reached the Oder River.

When to Berlin remained as speak, only a few kilometers, removed them from fighting positions and threw to Czechoslovakia to participate in fights for liberation of Prague. Mikhail still remembers with what pleasure, as liberators, Czechs of the Soviet soldiers met.

Fights were cruel, Germans held each plot of land. Mikhail remembers how one of skyscrapers under the name "Lordly Yard" several times passed from hand to hand. At battle for it there was a funny case.

Our platform sole delivered to a front line food for fighters. There was a foggy morning. Germans decided that their platform sole broke through defense of infantry, and 12 people followed for it in approach and got into captivity directly to our infantrymen.

There were few days before liberation of Prague. The commander of a platoon declared to Moroz that it is presented to the medal "For Courage". And for the next day wounded Mikhail Andreevich a splinter in a leg. Germans used some chemical weapon, and from a fragmental wound infection on all body went. So on May 6 Mikhail got to hospital. When after operation opened eyes, the first that saw in a window, - the blossoming apple-tree. In six months in hospitals – at first in Czechoslovakia, then in Poland underwent several operations and by miracle survived. Then in 22 years he was transfered to the reserve and sent home.

It was heavy to realize at this age that you are a disabled person. But Mikhail did not lose courage. Anew learned to go without crutches and even rode a bicycle. Soon married. His spouse Maria Filippovna experienced many deprivations too. It was sent to Germany together with other young people for work. After war by an echelon delivered to Kazan. Already from there Maria got home.

After a wedding Mikhail Andreevich and Maria Filippovna bought a lodge in of Tevli. Nearby put a garden from several apple-trees. Grew up the son and the daughter, waited for grandsons. Mikhail Andreevich worked 27 years at iron road station in Brest in MCh-3 on transfer of freights. Physically it was necessary quite hard, the old wound ached. But Mihail Moroz not from those who easily give up and lower hands. Vital energy of this person can envy only in an amicable way.

... The sun approached a decline, but buzz of bees, chatter of birds in a garden did not stop. Mikhail Andreevich rejoiced to spring furniture of the blossoming garden, and at heart was quiet from consciousness that life is lived not for nothing and to the old soldier is what to be proud.
