Backward village of Motol

So it happened that in one of February serene days I got to the village of Motol of the Region of Ivanovskoye. Houses motolyan, small, standing in five-seven meters from each other, almost all are painted in yellow-orange color and are similar to a scattering of an amber beads. It seems, you will open a gate – and it will appear in the room which is filled in with the sun. But we open a gate to the local "Museum of bread" – the most unique museum, equal to which is not present in the republic.

Historical roots motolyan

Motol – one of the largest villages of the republic with the population 4 thousand people. Perhaps, it is also one of the most ancient settlements in our district. Archeological excavations of the 60th years of last century found on Yaselda's coast near Motol six parking of the ancient person. Their age about 4-3 millennia B.C.

Today's Motol it seems also leads the usual rural life, but in the village there is a hotel, restaurant, numerous "cafes", there are two comprehensive schools and three museums. The village is decorated by Sacred and Preobrazhenskiy orthodox church. Reconstruction of a windmill draws attention of guests. All this favourably emphasizes the importance of the settlement as center of the Polesia agroecotourism. Know Motol and outside Republic of Belarus. It is the homeland of the first president of Israel Haim Weizman (1874-1952).

Amazingly, but almost at each motolyanin the enterprise vein is brightly expressed. Explain this fact here with the fact that before war in Motola there lived 3 thousand Jews. It is visible, art of business peculiar to this nationality is transferred even by craze of this edge.

In a sausage bench

Well-known motolsky brands are casings and sausages. But if the glory of motolsky casings dominating earlier in the last decades practically came to naught, then sausages, on the contrary, gain the increasing popularity.

Nobody knows precisely where roots of addiction of motolets to sausage business are hidden. It is known only that prior to the beginning of the thirtieth years of the past century representatives of the Jewish nationality went in for them here only. Judaic religion did not allow them to use pork in production, and therefore originally motolsky sausage was only beef. To learn to do, "rustic", sausage from pork was solved by one of orthodox motolets. Still "after the Polish hour" it went to Warsaw and completed a course on one of sausage productions, modern for that time.

In Motole remember that the license for production of sausages was obtained in 1933 by their fellow countryman Stepan Minyuk. Now his great-grandson, the farmer Andrey Minyuk, continues the sausage business begun by the ancestor. I buy a motolsky sausage on trial. Delicate aroma of natural garlic, a coriander and pepper is felt. Tasty.

Bread to all head
And here I in "The museum of bread", the youngest museum of the republic. The museum created by ChTPP "Aniks Sania" opened on February 6, 2015. I and the visitors who were with me were lucky: excursion was carried out by the director of the enterprise Alexander Fyodorovich Stasevich. And it began it with an entertainment. Presented us the fragrant, made on the Polesia herbs tea with fresh pastries. Then we visited the museum. The small room contained a set of exhibits from the real bakery products. It both round loaves, and wattled pretzels, and the Polesia motolsky bread, and the meter wedding loaf which is skillfully decorated with flowers, both great variety of rolls of a different configuration, and the cookies which are not giving in to the account. Then we tried to grind flour with own hand. We did not decide to knead dough, though it in the museum is provided, and the culinary master class is part of the excursion program.

In the museum we saw also unique objects of Slavic life. It and instruments of labor for processing of the earth, both the rural furnace, and the utensils displaying work of the baker. The milkchurn, a mortar, stone millstones, pots, a samovar and many other things are presented to expositions.

"The museum of bread" in the new estate under the name "Motolsky Venice" located on the bank of Yaselda became part of a tourist route.

Tourist's notes

Those who happened to visit Motola, will agree with me that Motol the village does not turn to call language. And having visited Ivanov, I come to a conclusion that original and bright Motol would have to be called the center of the Ivanovo Polesia.
