History of a stone boulder of "Kazinets"

The certificate to that is a stone with a mark of foot of the Mother of God, after melioration lain in the earth more than fifty years, and once serving to people not one century. The stone of "Kazinets" is taken from the earth last week.

However about everything one after another. In a bog with the historical name "Kazinets" that once settled down between the villages of Glinyanka, the Markets and Pestenki of Kobrin district, on a sandy height near the marsh rivulet Shevnya for centuries lay a huge boulder of gray and claret color about 1,8x2,8x1,5 m in size and weighing about five tons. Lay under a bias, the most part in the earth, and a smooth surface to the sun. Near a boulder there passed the road on which it was only possible to pass in the summer as around a bog. And in the winter on a horse with sledge easily it was possible to reach to next the Market, is once Rymok, kilometer for four. There it is immemorial generations of veins and the local shopkeeper traded.

The stone lay near the ford. And near a stone the small underground source beat in the summer. But not only the sizes the boulder of "Kazinets" was interesting. The basic that was known and remembered local this stone, is a trace of a barefoot leg of the Mother of God which once visited in our corner of the world, covering the earth with the Cover, and once stopped to have a rest, having sat down on a stone.

Not once travelers on a stone sat down too to have a rest, and even to lie down on the sun. Certificates to they are the coins-poteryashki of small advantage found us on the place of once lying stone. Found buttons, a copper ringlet of rough work, a coin-baratynku of 1610 of release with the image of the rider. Coin of stamping of the Brest mint.

And when in the 20th years of the last century in the Markets constructed school, this path half a century also school students went. And more than once, having removed footwear, tried on the legs to the Virgin's pile, asking from it graces at least at lessons...

But in the 60th years melioration came. The bog was drained, dug out new channels, the road was made in a detour of the former bog. One stones dug to the earth, others delayed to the new road, the third piled...

About this stone-sledovike I heard from locals and at once was engaged in its searches. Two years we looked for a stone, bringing to the place of even living witnesses. But, alas! And addressed to archive of reclamation experts (Pinsk). But all aerial photographs behind prescription of years were destroyed. The cards "for a polskag to hour" and the navigator helped.

And the other day local machine operators huge "Amkador" dug out a stone of "Kazinets" of the earth and transferred it to the road, having put on one sidewall. On a stone we saw more than what we hoped for. That pile to which in the person of the Virgin not one century of locals worshipped (and to us, according to written sources, about 500 years) is available, but … is damaged.

And mockery history over a shrine is as follows: somewhere in the 50th years the local peasant, somebody but the nickname Buttocks, took in head to shatter a stone to himself into building that did not once. Also began to hammer a metal chisel into this deepening (pile). But it the first minutes broke. Having been frightened, asked the help. Also began to beat out this broken piece, but did not take out a chisel, and damaged a pile. And in fifty years in the earth metal was damaged by corrosion...

But, it appears, the Mother of God bypassed once our lands not once. Also stopped on the same boulder. When, being distressed the "wounded" pile, we got accustomed to a stone more attentively, noticed two more piles of a barefoot leg, 36-37 sizes. The right leg is visible very distinctly though a trace not deep, the left foot is noticeable more weakly. It already at stone top.

The belief says that when the Mother of God sits down on a stone, it becomes soft and leaves on itself memory of stay of the Mother of God.

For centuries people kneeled down near these marks, irrigating the hurting places with water from deepening. Orthodox Christians worship not a stone, but the Mother of God with feeling of gratitude for its protection for us before God. Important not a touch to a stone – the prayer which is given rise in soul of asking is important. And everyone has to ask the from the Mother of God, without forgetting to thank for good of the passing day. It is important to note that at stones always pure power therefore their centuries use in construction of housing. And stone-sledovik even in the winter warm.

Priests say that the stone-sledovik is a peculiar icon and the certificate that the Mother of God stays on the earth and visits us. Remember Jesus's words that when "pupils stop, stones vozopit …". Likely, this time already came.

Across our Belarus of such stones-sledovikov slightly more than ten. And our "Kazinets", seemingly, the hugest. The most known stone with foot of the Mother of God at us in Zhirovichakh (it is stored in an altar of the main Zhirovichsky monastery). In Bialowieza Forest, somewhere on a glade, one more such stone lies. According to the legend, on it the Virgin had a rest and changed the shoes, having left a mark of a bare foot and legs in shoes. In of Stava of the Kamenetsky area there is a stone with a print of a leg of the Mother of God. There are similar stones in. Fords and of Kivachin of Pruzhansky district, near Peratok of Lyubansky district, somewhere in Starodorozhsky district, and also near the village the Lime Pack near Minsk …

And now about stones boulders in the territory of Belarus. The biggest and known – "The Stone Filaretov" near Baranovichi. Size of its 4,1x3,0x1,9 m. It is slightly less – near the village of Vychulka of the Brest district and somewhere in Pruzhansky district.

In the Brest region, according to experts, the boulder in the diameter of 1-2 m already a rarity is also interesting in the geological relation. I will remind, our stone of "Kazinets" 1,8 x 2,8 x 1,5 m in size.

Pertinently here to remember that in Western Europe, especially in Denmark, Sweden, Finland, boulders decorate a landscape of the cities and settlements everywhere. At us only near Minsk in 1974 the museum of boulders under the open sky recognized as one of the best in Europe was created. There 2130 stones from all republic located in several thematic expositions on the area about 6 hectares. It is model of the map of our Belarus (the author was there).

Scientists say that stones were brought to our regions once by a glacier. And these boulders are geological and historical monuments. But over time they irrevocably "disappear". It is necessary to hurry! And stones - sledovik – an undoubted shrine.

The matter is that to relics such in Orthodoxy approach is defined for a long time: their divinity is a subject of personal belief of the person. And let each of us will look: whether he will feel, having prayed, grace in soul? And if your prayer is heard by the Virgin, the stone can change the color, having become brighter. Then the grace will come.

And in conclusion. That the stone-sledovik brought to people piety again, it should be consecrated.

And still interesting information. In Likhen-Stary (Poland) from a local stone reconstruction of Golgotha is put. I would like, from blessing, of course, that also our stones served to us such act. And we can have a similar reconstruction. There are stones, there is a place, there is a desire. And money will come. And that pilgrims did not forget godforsaken Glinyanki, exactly here to an Orthodox church for today, we are going to bring our stone of "Kazinets". Also we believe that it will return to our edge grace and piety.
