Kobrin district was noted by awards at a regional exhibition of the presentation of tourist opportunities of the cities and areas "Tourism. Summer-2008".

The tourist is not only the one who passes many kilometers on foot with a backpack behind shoulders, but also the one who just likes to travel, open for himself something new, novel hitherto. And therefore development of tourism in the city of Kobrin includes not one, and at once several directions: development of tourist routes for excursions; construction of facilities of roadside service and development of such direction, new to our region, as agroekotrurizm.

In total on the city of Kobrin and the area it is developed and already 8 tourist routes work: "Ancient and legendary Kobrin", "Suvorov places in Kobrin district", "1812 in Kobrin district", "The well-known places in Kobrin district", "On borders of Kobrin district", "Roads of the Great Patriotic War", "The nature of the Kobrin region", "The world of ostriches". Traveling around these routes, it is possible to visit not only sights of the city, but also the place known for all little-known: the former estate of the writer Maria Rodzevich, a patrimonial crypt of a family of Kosciusko, a monument on the farm Charisma - here Romuald Traugutt swore on fidelity to revolt - and other historically significant places.

Along these routes it is possible to go independently, and it is possible also on organized excursion. 2 travel companies - ODO "BMMT Satellite" and tourist agency of RFOU "Atlas" having the right to organize excursions, including along these routes work in our city.

In the direction, other than other travel companies, the PM and Company firm works. She acts as the organizer of excursions to the ostrich's farm belonging to it and offers tourists the production in the shops and cafe opened in the territory of a farm.

Still new, but winning the increasing popularity direction - agroecotourism develops in Kobrin district also. The national songs, legends, cultural traditions characteristic of our region, later one - could consign two decades to the past irrevocably. Creation of such estates will promote their preservation and revival. Now two agroestates receive guests in Kobrin district: "On Zarechnaya Street" Alla Alekseevny Polykarpuk (. Sand I) and "Alesin garden" Nina Nikitichna Glavatskoi (of Andronovo). But already in the near future in Kobrin district not one more such estate will welcome guests, and it is promoted by the favorable conditions created for development of this type of business - granting the credits and privileges on payment of taxes.

At the regional exhibition presentation of tourist opportunities of the cities and areas which was taking place this year "Tourism. Summer-2008" Kobrin district was presented by four tourist objects: ostrich's farm, estate "On Zarechnaya Street", Atlant and Sputnik travel companies. "All representatives of Kobrin district, - V. M. Znakharchuk, the head of department of physical culture, sport and Kobrin's tourism RIC told, - acted adequately. All liked Alla Alekseevny Polikarpuk's kitchen from the agroestate "On Zarechnaya Street". Diplomas noted "PM and the company", the estate "On Zarechnaya Street", and also N. N. Glavatskaya, the hostess of the estate "Alesin Garden". More than all awards at an exhibition received Kobrin district".

In the summer of this year the Kobrin district executive committee developed three investment projects according to which construction of recreation facility on the lake Lyuban, a camping with an access road and other engineering communications, including parking, on Katasha's lake and hotels is planned for 40 places in the agrotown "Hidrinsky". Implementation of these projects, naturally, will open new opportunities for development of tourism in Kobrin district, will become an additional source of receipts in the regional budget.
