The village with centuries-old history (for the first time Cherevachitsa are mentioned in 1417), cozy hutorka was freely stretched between the railroad and the river Mukhavets. Inhabitants of estates led quiet, measured life: worked on arable lands, contained living creatures. In a word, did everything to ensure also to children worthy life, the future. Even war originally did not make special changes to the developed way: people worked, loved, established families.

Iosif Glinsky brought the young wife Nadezhda who pleased all members of household the diligence, sociability into the parental house too.

But soon villagers began to speak about the guerrilla movement, concrete examples of activity even more often on the quiet. Went to the group which was based somewhere in forests for Mukhavts, the second son of Glinsky - Mikhail. Soon it began to appear at parents with the fighting friends. In the evening on November 6 the 1943rd guerrillas came again to Glinsky' house which was near the railroad. From their conversation Nadezhda carrying under the firstborn's heart understood: they prepare blasting a military echelon...

As told at a meeting Nadezhda Iosifovna, after heard heart the unclear melancholy squeezed. For some reason the recent dream was suddenly remembered: Lapsky' family of five people which was brutally killed in its native village of Gutski, invited her to go to bed together with them. But then she was told: "Let the mother-in-law will better lay down..." To distract a little, Nadezhda with the husband and the girl who found a shelter in their house, having been left on roads of war without parents, Gardeners went to the girlfriend to the neighboring village. Having sat up late, remained to spend the night. Explosion on the railroad thundered after 12 o'clock in the morning, and two hours later the hostess of the house saw a flame of the fires, heard firing, shouts and crying of people. All estates located near the railroad burned...

Having returned, Glinskiye only black skeletons of furnaces, the father's body near a gate saw, dead mother - on the road to the house of the daughter...

Lidiya Kozel, on the husband Masur, at that time was 8 years old. The house in which there were 8 people stood near Mukhavts. In glow of the burning constructions they saw how chasteners went a chain, with an interval of one and a half meters, in their direction. People did not run away, though were able to do it: in the abrupt river bank the shelters which are carefully disguised from others eye were in advance dug. But how to escape imperceptibly if on fresh first snow up to 10 centimeters thick each trace is clearly visible?! In their souls the hope for happy end glimmered.

But it did not come true. Fascists did not manage to set fire to the house. Unlike others, the roof was from a tin. It was burned in a week. But dealt shortly with people immediately. Three children escaped by miracle. The aunt's son Fedya pretended to be a dead, did not stir even then when the German soldier painfully struck with a boot sideways. Mother before death managed to push Lida for a door which, falling from a bullet, was propped up the body by the neighbor Ivan Vashkevich.

It was succeeded to hide also to the girl Ania who found a shelter at a family of the Trestle after withdrawal from the Brest fortress too. Being afraid of return of chasteners, Lida with Ania ran along the river towards the village Gardeners. After bullets, one of which got to Lida into a leg, departed. It was necessary to come back, make the way in Boguslavichi. Eight-year-old Lida did all this way with one bare foot: mother managed to put on her only one boot. The fear was stronger than cold.

Chasteners did not spare anybody. In a family of Yakus three children, the most senior – 7 years. Hitlerites shot two, pierced the one-year-old child a bayonet. In the night of November 7, 1943 in the village of Cherevachitsa 56 people were killed, all houses and master's structures are burned. Only the church escaped... Relatives from the neighboring and remote villages buried the dead. In fear and haste. Someone in a coffin, for someone adapted a case, just wrapped some in a blanket.

The escaped orphans were taken away by relatives or just goodhearted people. Nadezhda Iosifovna Glinskaya and Lidiya Pavlovna Masur - not the only witnesses of those terrible events. Elena Glinskaya, Ekaterina Zhuk, Maria Glinskaya... To search for them and we did not begin to disturb. To them, as well as both of our interlocutors, it would be very heavy to remember endured too, night which fire noted their life war. Doctor Vremya not everything treats …
