A lot of things time can. It kills pain of sufferings and tightens wounds. And only human memory is not subject to years. She lives in the hearts of veterans and quite often comes back to events of the Great Patriotic War.

On December 22, 1943 fascists burned 12 yards and shot 18 inhabitants of. Eagle of Kobrin district. Of those tragic events became knows children from the youthful circle "Fontanel" 9 "G" of class SSh No. 8. To learn in more detail about that awful December morning, kruzhkovets visited eyewitnesses of those tragic events. Memory of incidentally escaped inhabitants, children who survived a far echo is reminded by military years...

On the bank of the Dnepro-Bugsky channel in the picturesque place there was before war a village the Eagle. Villagers lived, worked and did not know what will become with them, with their children, their houses.

In the morning on December 22, 1943 the fascists dressed in the white maskhalata armed with submachine guns drove civilians to the house of the fellow villager Pyotr Grigoryevich Homuk. The house was mined, poured gasoline and set fire. Everything flared, the heavy suffocating smoke rose up. Germans shot 18 people. The little managed to escape.

Today from the village the Eagle there was only a mass grave on a rural cemetery and a monument on the bank of the channel. But memory of this terrible event lives in the hearts of eyewitnesses still. In. A stone the meeting devoted to the 60 anniversary of the tragedy of took place. Eagle. People of different generations gathered to incline the heads before courage and firmness of grandfathers and great-grandfathers to honor light memory of our fellow countrymen. The historical circle "Fontanel" was present at a meeting too. Children listened to stories of eyewitnesses, military history of the native land appeared before them in words of veterans. As a result of this action kruzhkovets issued an album with memoirs of eyewitnesses and photos.

Each mogilka, each monument on a cemetery in the Eagle is the tragicly broken life during war. And we will hold this in the hearts in remembrance.
