Description:
Wingless individuals, very seldom polnokryly. Wing sheaths if they are, are not divided on klavus, a pereponochka and a corium. Body (length of 8-9,7 mm) extended. Hobotok is short. Perednespinka is delayed back and closes a guard. Hind and forward legs are pulled together and adapted for movement on a surface of the water, lobbies - hvatatelny, with powerfully developed hips. A characteristic sign of a look is the light strip on perednegruda sides developed only in forward part.

Rasprostraniyeniye:
The rare palaearctic species, a northern origin extended to the East to the Lake Baikal. It is known from Sweden, Finland, Russia (St. Petersburg, Tobolsk) and Ukraine (The Poltava Region). In Poland also treats extremely rare species. In Belarus it is noted on low-lying bogs of the wildlife area of "Zvonets", "Wild", "Sporovskoye" and National park "Pripyat", in the Berezinsky biospheric reserve (the lake of Moskowitz and Smolenk's stream connected with marsh ecosystems). Obviously, is a glacial relict.

Habitats:
In Belarus prefers sedge transitional bogs.

Biology:
Practically it is not known.

Number and tendency of its change:
Rare species which number is low in many countries of Europe.

Protection measures:
Also "Sporovskoye" is protected in the Berezinsky biospheric reserve, wildlife areas of "Zvonets", "Wild". The organization of protection of territories where it is found, and also prohibition of meliorative works, applications of chemical means of protection of plants, fertilizers, etc. on the catchment areas adjacent to these territories is necessary.
